I will be posting the interviews themselves as I go along, and posting them to their own page "The magazine interviews" tab above. It may help to understand some of the things the people are referencing. They're old, please remember, the work is old too:)

I became fascinated with how these interviews were interpreted by the readers in prison. If you find that your story inspires someone, I think it's best maybe to leave it at that, don't contradict their impression because it motivated them. I was surprised that my own story could change someone's course for the better. I only hope that he continued down the path to whatever success he was looking for.

This was one of the first letters I received. I just remember thinking how funny this guy was, how true he was in his words, and how polite he seemed until he just threw caution to the wind, toward the end the letter with his request.
He had taped a four leaf clover to the first page, but it's since separated and I only have half of it.
